GIORGIO FANTI S.p.A.<\/strong><\/style>\n<\/h4>\n

The origin and the heart of the Fanti Packaging group,\u00a0Giorgio Fanti S.p.A. was founded in 1948<\/strong>, from an inspired idea by Giorgio Fanti, who recognised a business opportunity in a\u00a0can of meat<\/strong>. From its origins in a garage at Via del Lino, n. 8, in Bologna (Italy), through to the Borgo Panigale plant, and then the final relocation in 1969 to the current headquarters in Casalecchio di Reno (Bologna, Italy), Giorgio Fanti S.p.A. has always specialised in the\u00a0production of metal containers for paint<\/strong>. The purchase of the\u00a0first automatic line<\/strong>\u00a0for assembling tinplate boxes in\u00a01952<\/strong>\u00a0marked a milestone in the company\u2019s journey from development to consolidation.\u00a0In 2022, Fanti Packaging was officially established<\/strong>, the family holding that brings all the companies together under one umbrella, optimising resources and synergies. The Giorgio Fanti S.p.A. plant, which is the group\u2019s largest and most complete, employs approximately 150 people, extends over approximately 20,000 sqm of ground space, and houses the entire production cycle.<\/p>\n

\nIndustria Contenitori Metallici S.p.A.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Founded\u00a0in 1965 in Montechiarugolo (Parma, Italy)<\/strong>\u00a0by former employees of Capolo S.p.A., I.C.M. initially specialised in the manufacture of\u00a0pots for oil, tuna, and the chemical industry<\/strong>. In\u00a01990<\/strong>, what was then Giorgio Fanti S.p.A. acquired a majority shareholding in I.C.M., an important addition to the group which would enable it to develop and enhance its range of offerings. Today, with 47 employees on the books and a 7,000 sqm plant, the company leads the way in the production of\u00a0general line tapered pots<\/strong>\u00a0and continues to work synergistically with Fanti Packaging to guarantee innovation and quality in packaging.<\/p>\n

FANTI VENEGONI S.r.l.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Founded in\u00a01973 by Pietro Venegoni<\/strong>, the company has evolved from local business to major player in the\u00a0metal packaging sector dedicated to general lines and food cans<\/strong>. Passionately led by the Venegoni family for over 40 years, the company operates today in a modern 3,000 sqm facility located in\u00a0Trecate (Novara, Italy)<\/strong>, with 18 specialist employees. Venegoni has been part of the Fanti family since\u00a02018<\/strong>, benefiting from its\u00a0commercial and process synergies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nGemmano Plant<\/strong><\/h4>\n

FANTI Plast<\/strong>\u00a0is the division that Fanti Packaging established in\u00a02022<\/strong>\u00a0to distinguish the production unit dedicated to\u00a0plastic and hybrid packaging<\/strong>, an important segment including\u00a0two plants<\/strong>, each housing a manufacturing business. At the\u00a0Gemmano site (Rimini, Italy)<\/strong>, the production of\u00a0large plastic containers<\/strong>\u00a0continues business begun by P. Cans in this joint venture between Fanti and the Verni family (owner of an established company founded in the 1980s that has earned a name for itself in the production of high-quality plastic buckets and pails). In\u00a02015<\/strong>, the Bologna-based group acquired the Verni family\u2019s share, and so\u00a0P. Cans S.r.l<\/strong>\u00a0was born, marking the entry of Fanti Packaging into the plastic packaging market. Today, taking into consideration both production plants, Fanti Plast premises cover approximately 20,000 sqm and house over 30 employees.<\/p>\n

\nCodogno Plant\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The\u00a0plastic and hybrid packaging<\/strong>, to which Fanti Packaging dedicated the\u00a0FANTI Plast<\/strong>\u00a0division in\u00a02022<\/strong>, is an extremely important manufacturing segment. The business unit operates with\u00a0two different facilities<\/strong>\u00a0housing two companies that have joined the group, sharing their experience, professionalism, and vision.\u00a0Polibox Italiana<\/strong>, founded in 1978 under the leadership of the Rosso brothers, has always been rooted in\u00a0Codogno (Lodi, Italy)<\/strong>. Initially dedicated to injection molding of plastics to produce containers for paints and varnishes, the company sealed its success with the creation of the\u00a0first hybrid container in Italy<\/strong>, which combines plastic and metal. The result of a vital initial\u00a0patent<\/strong>, the company\u2019s commitment to innovation then continued with an\u00a0additional European patent for Eco-Rivest<\/strong>, a revolutionary internal coating and protection system. Polibox originally joined the Fanti family in\u00a02016<\/strong>\u00a0with\u00a0P. Cans<\/strong>, becoming a member of the\u00a0Fanti Plast<\/strong>\u00a0division after that, operating in a modern, technologically advanced production facility. Since then, it has expanded further to include a department dedicated to the food segment.<\/p>\n

OCM joined Fanti Packaging in\u00a02024<\/strong>\u00a0as part of a process to upgrade the\u00a0production range dedicated specifically to the food segment.<\/strong>\u00a0A long-standing company based in\u00a0Gruaro (Venice, Italy)<\/strong>, it has achieved national leadership in the metal packaging sector under the intelligent leadership of the\u00a0D\u2019Agnolo<\/strong>\u00a0family, whose members are still involved in the running of the business. Operating with over 200 employees in two plants (in Gruaro and San Martino di Lupari), OCM joined Fanti Packaging to ensure a greater competitive edge in the\u00a0food and coffee market<\/strong>, leveraging is long-term partnership with well-known coffee brand illycaff\u00e8 SpA.<\/p>\n

Founded in\u00a02007<\/strong>\u00a0as a joint venture\u00a0between Blechwarenfabrik Limburg GmbH (Germany) and Fanti Packaging (Italy), ICE-Innovative Canmakers Europe<\/strong>\u00a0is a leading\u00a0commercial partnership<\/strong>\u00a0in the\u00a0tinplate packaging segment for chemical and technical products<\/strong>. Located in\u00a0Munich (Germany)<\/strong>, ICE brings together the experience and innovation of two European packaging giants to offer pioneering metal packaging solutions throughout Europe and beyond. The strength of this company lies in its combination of decades of know-how, use of innovative technologies, and the support of a vast European wide distribution network. \nGruppo Italiano Imballaggi<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Founded\u00a0in 1999 in Bucharest (Romania)<\/strong>, G.I.I. Gruppo Italiano Imballaggi was originally established as a joint venture between Fanti and two Italian manufacturers to assemble pots and\u00a0serve the local paint manufacturing market<\/strong>\u00a0more efficiently and cost-effectively. Over the following years, market dynamics and corporate changes shaped G.I.I. which, in\u00a02006<\/strong>, embarked on an\u00a0expansion project<\/strong>\u00a0led solely by the Fanti family. A new 6,000 sqm plant was purchased and developed outside Bucharest, accompanied by an expansion of the range and the introduction of new machinery, which have been fully operational since 2014.<\/p>\n

Founded\u00a0in 1940, by Mariano Sanz Garcia, Industrias Sanz<\/strong>\u00a0specialises in the production of\u00a0metal cans, drums and pails<\/strong>. In June\u00a02023<\/strong>, it officially joined Fanti Packaging under the new name\u00a0Fanti Espa\u00f1a<\/strong>, bringing its product and service consulting to an even higher level of customisation in line with a\u00a0glocal policy<\/strong>\u00a0that aims to guarantee the excellence of Fanti Packaging around the world while taking different local needs into account. Measuring 4,800 sqm, the\u00a0Alcobendas (Madrid)<\/strong>\u00a0facility employs 25 people. Thanks to synergies with the group, Fanti Espa\u00f1a offers\u00a0high-level metal packaging<\/strong>\u00a0solutions, guiding customers from design to delivery of the finished product.<\/p>\n

Acquired in 2024<\/strong> by Fanti Espa\u00f1a Envases, already an integral part of Fanti Packaging, Gruplasa S.L. is a Madrid-based company specializing in the production of plastic packaging.<\/strong> Its entry into the Fanti Packaging reality as Fanti Plast Espa\u00f1a<\/strong> allows it to provide the Iberian market with a complete range of primary packaging solutions in plastic and hybrid. Thanks to a professional and attentive approach, the new Fanti Plast Espa\u00f1a rightfully places itself among the main points of reference for the main national manufacturers, guaranteeing production flexibility for different needs and sectors.<\/p>\n

The 10,000 sqm plant \u2013 of which 9,000 sqm are dedicated to the production of\u00a0general line metal cans<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 exports 75 years of know-how overseas. With 11 direct employees and three outsourcers, Fanti USA focuses on\u00a0quality, efficiency, and personalised customer care<\/strong>. An investment of\u00a0over 800,000 USD for the creation of a photovoltaic system<\/strong>\u00a0has confirmed Fanti Packaging\u2019s commitment to sustainability.<\/p>\n
